The Valdepeñas Wine Route highlights the tourist resources of the Valdepeñas Designation of Origin production area.
Bodega Los Llanos de Valdepeñas dates back to 1875, its original location, today one of the most prestigious museums in Spain. The winery is equipped with the most advanced oenological techniques to produce, age, and bottle high-quality wines. The wineries have one of the largest underground caves in the country with a capacity for 30,000 barrels, where the characteristics of the land, together with a dry and sunny climate, contribute decisively to the good development and maturity of the grape.

The Bodegas Los Llanos caves unite the art of Valdepeñas and the art of wine within them. Hence the name "CUEVA DEL ARTE" (Cave of Art) they received around 1977.
At that time, BODEGAS LOS LLANOS built one of the largest wineries in Spain and pioneered the aging of Valdepeñas wines. The scale of the work was such that many experts and curious visitors came to explore its depths.
In these depths of the earth, they discovered how, in the silence and darkness of the cave, unique wines for the region were being forged at that time.
People could discover the effort, dedication, and care with which the master coopers and winemakers treated these wines.
As a result, no one left indifferent, and the only phrase they resorted to was: "How much art there is here!"
